The aluminum body is anodized in familiar “Woodpeckers Red” and the laser engraved scale is bright white. It’s much easier to see than most other rules, even in poor lighting conditions. Woodpeckers also beveled the edges 30 degrees. That puts the calibrations right down on top of your work, eliminating parallax viewing error.
